OAKWOOD VILLAGE, Ohio — A lucky pup is home safe, thanks to an Oakwood Village fire crew and the Walton Hills Police Department.
A dog was seen struggling in the water after falling through ice on a small pond Friday morning near the 16800 block of South Meadowpark Drive.
An Oakwood Village firefighter climbed into ice rescue gear and managed to pull the dog from the water. According to the department, the dog, who lived next door to the pond, was not injured.
