WICKLIFFE, Ohio — A fire broke out at the Greenridge Hotel on Euclid Avenue in Wickliffe overnight where two people were treated and released.
Fire officials say the situation started shortly after 3 a.m. as the flames started in an occupied hotel room on the second floor. While the fire was contained to the room of origin, fire officials say the second floor has extensive smoke damage.
Our cameras captured first responders working at the scene.
“For that amount of smoke in the middle of the night to get people out and nobody to be transported, we’re fortunate," one fire official tells 3News.
We're told 10 fire departments responded to the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
No additional details were immediately available.
