Officials were able to quickly get the dog to safety.

LAKEWOOD, Ohio — The Lakewood Fire Department rescued a trapped dog from the shores of Lake Erie, Sunday morning.

Heavy rains from the weekend's storm systems left the dog stranded behind the 17800 block of Lake Avenue.
