CLEVELAND — Two Elyria residents were arrested Friday after officers executed a search warrant in connection with a drug trafficking investigation, police said.
The Elyria Police Department's Special Response Team searched the home of Anthony D. Russell and Kaitlin A. Ruiz in the 500 block of Bayberry Drive. Police say investigators seized a "significant quantity of illicit substances, including over five ounces of fentanyl and almost two ounces of crack cocaine."
Police also said multiple firearms and a "substantial" amount of money were seized in the search.
Russell, 25, was charged with trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs, having weapons while under disability, endangering children and receiving stolen property (firearm), all felony charges.
Ruiz, 28, was hit with a felony charge of endangering children.

Russell and Ruiz are being held at the Lorain County Jail ahead of their initial appearance in Elyria Municipal Court.
