AVON, Ohio — For centuries, music has served as a source of refuge for people going through difficult times.
Going into week five of Gov. DeWine's stay-at-home order and creatives are finding ways to stay connected and share their talents with the masses.
A group of young people from Avon is the latest local group to share their talents with others during this global pandemic.
The Avon Electric Orchestra recently released a virtual rendition of " Sweet Child O'Mine" on their YouTube.
The ensemble is made up of high schools students " who combine classic string orchestra with rock and rhythm to bring a new flare to old favorites," according to their YouTube page.
Jesse Martin, the orchestra's director wanted the high-schoolers to perform together to life people's spirits. According to Martin, the kids have been " strong and have been an inspiration" during this difficult time.
