LORAIN, Ohio — Fire officials have confirmed to 3News that a body was recovered from the Black River in Lorain.
The Lorain Fire Department says they responded to a call for a water rescue at around 11 a.m.
Upon arriving, crews found a body directly under the Charles Berry Bascule Bridge. The rescue eventually turned into a recovery effort.
The Lorain Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Lorain Police Department and the Lorain County Coroner's Office.
At this time, the body has not yet been identified and there is no cause of death.
