ELYRIA, Ohio — Lorain County Community College (LCCC) once again evacuated all campuses after another bomb threat forced the college to take safety measures Tuesday afternoon.
According to school officials, Elyria police came to campus to sweep the area, but the threat has been deemed to be "unfounded." As such, all campuses will reopen at 4 p.m. this afternoon and evening classes will be held as scheduled.
Today's bomb threat comes after the college dealt with three bomb threats in one week between March 24 and March 29. LCCC turned to remote learning for the rest of the week after the March 29 threat and have since returned to in-school classes.
The school is currently working with the Elyria Police Department and federal officials to identify the person behind the threats. No arrests have been made as of this time.
