A warning has been issued to parents by Elyria school administrators after a child was bitten by what appeared to be a coyote on the Oakwood Elementary School playground.
The incident happened after school on Tuesday. The child's grandmother reported the situation to the school district. The child is not a student of Elyria Schools.
There's no word on the condition of the child.
The district advises parents to be watchful and report any stray or wild animal sightings to police.
