LORAIN, Ohio — Coast Guard crews are busy conducting a search of Lake Erie following a distress signal late Saturday night.
Officials say two red emergency flares went up off the coast of Lorain, leading to the rescue mission. Exact details have been scarce since then, but one USCG helicopter was called in from Detroit.
Crews suspended their search efforts late last night before starting up again Sunday morning. So far, there have been no updates.
