ELYRIA, Ohio — Elyria fire crews extinguished a fire that broke out at an Elyria business on Sunday morning.
At approximately 8:15 a.m., firefighters responded to the Ohio Metallurgical Services Inc. building on Clark Street for an active fire. When fire crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and a fire inside of the building.
The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire causing firefighters to use force to enter the property. The fire was quickly extinguished shortly after fire crews entered.
No injuries were reported. Damages from the fire are estimated to be approximately $100,000.
