ELYRIA, Ohio — Lorain County Community College "immediately" closed all of its campuses Thursday due to a reported bomb threat.

Elyria police were made aware of the threat towards main campus on North Abbe Road just after 3 p.m. After arriving on scene and speaking with officials, the decision was made to tell all students and staff to "evacuate now."

As authorities assisted in getting people off the campus, investigators began looking over each building in an effort to find anything suspicious. The Lorain County Sheriff's Office and Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority Canine team were called in to help, but no explosives or anything similar were located, and the all clear signal was given at 5:30 p.m.

An Elyria police inquiry is now underway regarding the allegation of making terroristic threats, which would be a third-degree felony. No arrests have been made at this time.
