CLEVELAND — Lorain County authorities are searching for a suspect after a man was injured after being shot multiple times in Elyria Township Saturday afternoon.
According to the Lorain County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to calls of a man shot just before 2:15 p.m. Police say the victim was shot near the intersection of Lake Avenue and Griswold Road and was able to drive himself to a gas station on North Ridge Road where he stopped for help.
A bystander had taken the victim to a hospital before sheriff's deputies arrived. He was later transferred to another hospital in Cleveland. Police do not know the full extent of the man's injuries.
Police are looking for a suspect who was allegedly driving a "newer body style" white Chevrolet Camaro.
