Lorain High School students return to building after 'credible' bomb threat triggers evacuation

Teens and faculty were moved to surrounding schools while the city police and fire departments performed a sweep of the high school grounds.

LORAIN, Ohio — Students at Lorain High School have been allowed to return to class following an evacuation Tuesday morning.

According to the school district's Facebook page, the building's fire alarm was activated due to a "credible but unconfirmed" bomb threat. Teens and faculty were moved to surrounding schools while the city police and fire departments performed a sweep of the high school grounds.

As of 11:24 a.m., all students and staff are now back inside the high school.
