The Lorain Police Department is investigating the fatal shooting of a 36 year-old man, Thursday evening.
Just before 6 p.m. officials responded to the 2400 block of East 29th Street for an accident. At the scene, police found a dark colored Nissan in yard near the Gary Avenue. The car had struck several other vehicles before coming to stop in the yard.
Upon approaching the vehicle, the driver, identified as Edwin Guzman, suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Guzman was taken by Life Care to Mercy Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police have not yet released any information on a potential suspect or suspects, nor have they shared any information on a potential motive. No arrests have been made at this time.
The fatal shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Det. Chris Colon of the Lorain Police Department at 440-204-2105.
