CLEVELAND — A Lorain woman was pronounced dead after crashing her car in Lorain County Sunday morning, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

According to an OSHP release, the single-car crash happened on Indian Hollow Road near Cook Street in LaGrange Township at 10:40 a.m.

Eileen Page, 58, was driving north on Indian Hollow Road when her 2018 Mazda 6 veered off the left side of the road. The car hit a mailbox before continuing through a tree line and eventually coming to rest in a field.

Page was unresponsive when troopers arrived at the scene of the crash. She was pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after troopers began performing life-saving measures, the highway patrol said.

Troopers say Page was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
