A North Ridgeville man was arrested Tuesday following a four-hour standoff with police.
Authorities were called to a home on the 8800 block of Gatestone Road around 9:13 a.m. in regard to a domestic violence complaint, but upon arrival 37-year-old suspect Piankhi Bruce refused to speak with them. Bruce was on parole and it was believed he may have had a gun.
Bruce finally surrendered peacefully after four hours of negotiations with the Lorain County Adult Parole Authority. He was charged with domestic violence and is currently in the Lorain County Jail.
No firearm was found inside the residence during a subsequent search.
