Maria's Field of Hope in Avon is here to stay, at least for 2019.
On Tuesday, the organization took to Facebook to announce that the field would remain at its longtime location in Avon at the corner of Chester and Jaycox Roads, while not in development.
In April of last year, the group announced that 2018 would be the field's last year in the location due to construction and development in the area.
Despite seeing the hiccup coming, the uncertainly of the field's future left hundreds uneasy.
The site where the sunflowers are planted was never owned by the foundation, but was donated to them to use for their cause which has grown over the years.
While the organization says its still in search of a permanent home for Maria's Field of Hope, they're grateful to the Jacob's Group for another year!
Maria's Field of Hope, in its sixth year, is managed by the Prayers From Maria Foundation. The foundation was started by Ed and Megan McNamara after their 6-year-old daughter Maria died from a cancerous brain tumor back in 2007.
