The Avon Lake Police Department has canceled a statewide missing adult alert for an 83-year-old woman who had not been seen since Sunday afternoon.
Authorities say Yvonne Sanker drove away from her home on Bounty Way around 3 p.m. on Sunday and did not arrive at her intended destination. She is believed to be driving a black 2007 Mercedes-Benz C280 with an Ohio license plate number of HBH4554, much like the one pictured below.
Sanker is described as being 5-foot-3 and weighing 135 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Additionally, officials say she suffers from dementia and may be confused.
