LORAIN, Ohio — With an increase in popular demand for their weekend events, Black River Landing's board of directors has announced plans to create a permanent amphitheater and upgrade downtown Lorain.
A partnership between the Lorain Port and Finance Authority, Robert Maschke Architects Inc., Bialosky Cleveland, Realm Collaborative and PCS Companies plans to bring a permanent amphitheater to Black River Landing as well as a brand new vision to connect the riverfront to downtown Lorain.
The Lorain Port and Finance Authority unveiled the new design on Thursday night.

Lorain Port and Finance Authority Executive Director Tom Brown would like the vision to become reality with completion in 2024.
"We premiered the design last night and now will begin the process of fundraising and planning," said Brown. "In a perfect world, we would love to be complete in 2024 but are very excited to begin the process of making this vision a reality in Lorain."
