A fixed wing single-engine plane crashed just outside of the Lorain County Regional Airport Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, a call came in for a possible plane crash on Middle Avenue in Carlisle Township around 2:30 p.m.
A 63-year-old man, the only occupant on the plane,was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Lifecare Ambulance.
There is no word on a cause of the crash at this time. The Lorain County Coroner and Ohio State Highway Patrol both responded to the scene.
