Water main break closes 2 schools in Lorain

LORAIN, Ohio — The Lorain City School District has announced that classes at two of their schools will be canceled on Thursday.

Officials say that there is no school for students and staff at Southview Middle School and Helen Steiner Rice Elementary School due to a water main break.

"The city of Lorain is working to resolve the issue. Please check your email, our district website, and Facebook pages for updates for the rest of the week," said Lorain City School District officials.
