Lunch Break with Jay Crawford: New study shows kids who have to do chores are more successful as adults

It turns out having to make your bed every day as a kid is good for your future.

CLEVELAND — On Lunch Break with Jay Crawford on Thursday, Jay lunched with Maureen Kyle and the two discussed handing out jobs to their kids, and how that might impact them in adulthood.

According to a Harvard Grant Study, love and work ethic are the two things that people need to be happy.

The study found that a “pitch in” mindset contributes to that sense of happiness, and that doing chores as a child helps foster that sensibility.

The catch to all of this is that having children do chores can sometimes lead to more work as a parent.

Watch the video to see what Jay and Maureen had to say about giving their kids chores to do.
