Mansfield Veterans Affairs Clinic closed Wednesday amid power outage and severe storm damage

The clinic will remain closed until at least Thursday, June 16.

MANSFIELD, Ohio — EDITOR’S NOTE: The video above previously aired on 3News on June 14, 2022, when severe storms caused damage across Northeast Ohio. 

After suffering from severe storm damage and power outage, the David F. Winder Department of Veterans Affairs Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Mansfield is closed Wednesday.

In a Facebook post, the Cleveland VA Medical Center announced the Mansfield location's closure with the following statement: 

“Due to severe storm damage and large power outages in the Mansfield area, the Dave F. Winder (Mansfield) VA Clinic will be closed today, Wednesday, June 15, for all services.”

Anyone with appointments scheduled for today is asked not to contact the clinic to cancel their appointment. 

As of now, the clinic will be closed until at least Thursday at 10 a.m. 

Veterans who need urgent or immediate care can contact the Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital at 419-525-8000. Those needing non-emergency care can contact the Akron VA Clinic at 330-724-7715. 

Official announcements of when the clinic will open back up will be made on the Cleveland VA Medical Center Facebook page.
