MEDINA, Ohio --  A judge denied the request to lower the $1 million bond for a Medina father arrested after his daughter was found "badly decomposed."

In court Monday morning, Eric Warfel, 35, will be held on a $1 million bond despite efforts by his representing attorney, Michael O'Shea to lower the bond.

Earlier this month, Warfel pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. A pretrial is set to move forward on Nov. 5 and a trial scheduled for Nov. 9.

He is accused of putting trash in the child's room to disguise the smell of her decomposing body. It's believed the toddler died on or about June 18. Due to the decomposition of the body, officials continue to complete the autopsy.
