MEDINA, Ohio -- Five people have been arrested during the investigation into the death of a Green man.
Here's how the story unfolded.
On Monday, Medina police received information from the Summit County Sheriff's Office in regard to a homicide suspect, Spencer "Aaron" Sims.
Sims was wanted for questioning in connection with the homicide of Corey S. Seibel in the City of Green.
At approximately 8:26 p.m., a police dispatcher received a call from a Summit County detective who stated he had just received a tip that Spencer was at the ABC Apartments on 763 Miner Drive in building "J."
Medina officers, accompanied by detectives from Summit County Sheriff, went to apartment "J-9" where they made contact with Krystal Claycomb and Jeff Turner.
Turner who is currently on probation in another case. Both stated that Spencer was not in the apartment.
Officers obtained consent to search the apartment from Krystal. They found Spencer "Aaron" Sims hiding in a closet in the apartment.
Medina Police arrested, charged and have jailed the following:
1. Jeff Turner — Obstructing Official Business – currently on probation in another case.
2. Krystal Claycomb—Obstructing Official Business
3. Brandon Perry—Obstructing Official Business
4. Christian Alexander—Obstructing Official Business
5. Cerena Osborne—Obstructing Official Business
Spencer "Aaron" Sims was detained by Summit County Sheriff's Office detectives at the scene.
Sims, 22, of Medina, was arrested and charged by the Summit County Sheriff's Office with Complicity/Aggravated Robbery in connection with the homicide in Green. He is now in the Summit County jail.
A search found a quantity of marijuana in Sims possession.
The investigation continues and charges are pending.
