WESTFIELD TOWNSHIP -- The Medina Sheriff's Office confirms that a deputy was struck by an ambulance Thursday morning.
The incident happened on Friendsville Road, according to an area fire chief. The deputy was struck when an ambulance rolled into reverse during a squad call to help an elderly patient.
The deputy suffered bumps and bruises and was taken to Medina Hospital.
