Ohio State Highway Patrol: Pilot uninjured after crash at Medina Municipal Airport

The pilot, James E. Yurichak, 78, of North Royalton, was uninjured.

MEDINA, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a plane crash that occurred at the Medina Municipal Airport on Tuesday morning.

At approximately 11:38 a.m., a Cessna 172N flipped and crashed after it ran off the end of a runway. The pilot, James E. Yurichak, 78, of North Royalton, was the only person in the plane at the time of the crash and was uninjured.

The plane sustained "moderate" damage. The incident remains under investigation.
