Plane overturns in Wadsworth crash, pilot expected to survive

Authorities say the aircraft flipped over upon landing at the Skypark Airport.

WADSWORTH, Ohio — At least one person has been hurt following a plane crash in Wadsworth Thursday afternoon.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the Cessna 152 was attempting to land at Skypark Airport just after 5:30 p.m. when it went off the left side of the runway and into the grass before flipping over on its roof around 5:40 p.m. The pilot was taken to Akron General Hospital via ambulance, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

No one else was inside the aircraft when it crashed. The Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating the incident.
