Wadsworth Middle School teacher arrested for alleged 'inappropriate contact' with multiple students

Robert Bodjanac, 46, has been charged with three misdemeanor counts of sexual imposition for 'actions involving three female middle school students.'

CLEVELAND — A Wadsworth Middle School teacher was arrested Thursday on sexual misconduct charges involving incidents with multiple students at the school.

Robert Bodjanac, 46, has been charged with three misdemeanor counts of sexual imposition for "actions involving three female middle school students," the Wadsworth Police Department announced in a news release.

Bodjanac, a Wadsworth resident, has been placed on administrative leave by the school since March 27, when WMS staff contacted the school's resource officer about a report of "inappropriate contact" that Bodjanac allegedly made with a student. After Wadsworth police detectives began a nearly month-long investigation, officers learned of other alleged incidents involving Bodjanac and other students.

Bodjanac has pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on a $1,500 bond.

The Wadsworth Police Department asked anyone with any information that may be relevant to the case to call the detective bureau at 330-336-2405.

"Students who may have additional information are also encouraged to speak to school staff or counselors," the department said.

If convicted, Bodjanac could spend a maximum of 60 days in prison and a fine of up to $250 per count.

Police said that the investigation remains ongoing and no further information will be released "at this time."
