WADSWORTH, Ohio — A sea of red as Wadsworth comes together to remember Jimmy Kennedy, a 7th grader who was killed in a crash while riding his bike home from school Friday afternoon.
"He was the class clown, if Jimmy was doing anything, it was trying to make all the other people around him laugh. He was the most charismatic young man out there, respectful, kind to everybody, didn't have a bad bone in his body," Uncle Ed Holcomb said.
Now, his family is grieving, and trying to process their loss, while neighbors, friends and classmates come together to share in their sorrows.
It was definitely, he didn't deserve what happened," Holcomb said.
The Kennedys have already seen an outpouring of support with tens of thousands of dollars raised on GoFundMe in Jimmy's name, and while their presence won't make things easier, it hasn't gone unnoticed.
"Thanks to everybody and I want to reach out to everyone he touched, if he was a part of their lives because they were lucky to be around him, to just experience his energy," Holcomb said.
