16-year-old from Willard dies in two-vehicle crash in Huron County, Ohio State Highway Patrol says

The crash is under investigation.

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that happened in Greenfield Township on Tuesday morning.

According to a release, OSHP deputies responded to calls of a crash at approximately 7:15 a.m. An initial investigation revealed that 16-year-old Logan T. Lewis, of Willard, was traveling north on State Route (SR) 61 when he crossed the center line and struck a semi-truck driven by a Berlin Heights man head on. The semi-truck caught on fire after the collision.

Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene. Mckillips suffered serious injures, but were said to be non-life-threatening. He was transported to Willard Hospital before being transported via life flight to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Toledo.

The crash remains under investigation.
