CLEVELAND — Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio is hands on in helping kids stay social and on the right path during this tough time.
Launching a new virtual hangout spot, the organization will connect the roughly 2,000 children in the area who rely on their programs to find leadership and mentors on a daily basis. The website, bgcneo.org, will feature programs that promote the group’s core values of “academic success, healthy lifestyles and character development.”
“We wanted to keep our connection with Club members by offering content that is not only in line with our mission but is also interesting to them,” Chief Programming Officer Allen Smith said, “many of the videos will feature staff members from around our region, so kids will be able to see and hear from some of the mentors they know and trust.”
Beginning Monday, April 6, kids will have access to knowledge games, fitness activities and programs featuring arts and science learning. BGCNEO is open to those ages 6 to 18.
