Columbia Station Hometown Festival to celebrate 75th anniversary this weekend

The festival is taking place at Columbia Township Park between Thursday, June 27-Sunday, June 30.

COLUMBIA STATION, Ohio — This weekend, hundreds are set to gather for the 75th anniversary of the Columbia Hometown Festival. 

The event at Columbia Township Park will take place Thursday, June 27-Sunday, June 30.

The celebratory weekend will feature vendors, rides, bingo, a Miss America preliminary pageant, fireworks and more. 

What follows is everything you need to know about the festival. 

Columbia Station Homecoming Schedule

Thursday, June 27: 5-11 p.m. 

  • 5-9 p.m. | Free youth crafts
  • 6:30-9:30 p.m. | Family bingo 
    • Ages 13-adult 
    • Under 13 must be accompanied by an adult 
  • 8-11 p.m. Mike Starcher and Friends jam session 
    • All musicians are invited 

Friday, June 28: 5-11 p.m. 

Rock and Roll Costume Day: Wear a costume for prizes 

  • 5-9 p.m. | Free youth crafts
  • 6:30-9:30 p.m. | Family bingo 
    • Ages 13-adult 
    • Under 13 must be accompanied by an adult 
  • 6:30-8 p.m. |  Girl Cologne (Rock Band)
    • Announcement of Rock and Roll Costume Winners!
  • 8:30-11 p.m. | FlashBackCLE (80’s-90’s Rock Band)

Saturday, June 29: Noon - 11 p.m.

  • Noon-2 p.m. | Youth games
  • Noon-3 p.m. | Doberman Underground- Doberman rescue
  • Noon-9 p.m. |  Free youth crafts 
  • 12:30-1:30 p.m. | Baby Liberty Contest
  • 2-3 p.m. | The Gibbs Butcher Block Watermelon Eating Contest
  • 2-3:30 p.m.| Shear-Shack Queen’s Luncheon- The Columbia Eagles Club/ Chicken strip lunch: $15.00
  • 3-4 p.m. | Jungle Bob 
  • 4-5 p.m. |  “The Yankee Doodle Parade” Vehicles line up at the Eagle’s Club/ Walkers at EAS
  • 4-5 p.m. The Columbia Animal Clinic Bike and Pet Parade Line-up- Basketball Courts

  • 1-2 p.m. | Patriotic cooking contest 
  • 2-3 p.m. | Patriotic upcycle contest 
  • 2-4 p.m. | Cleveland Square Dance Clubs Square Dancing-  GAZEBO
  • 2-6 p.m. | Miss America Preliminary Competition- Columbia High School 
  • 4-5 p.m. | The Magic Guy 101 
  • 6-8 p.m. | Hot Air Balloon Rides 
  • 6 p.m. | Announcement of Miss America Preliminary titleholders
