'Likely a total loss': Farmer Boy Restaurant in Wooster destroyed by fire

Firefighters responded to the commercial fire at 2558 Cleveland Road at 11:24 p.m. on Friday.

WOOSTER, Ohio — The Farmer Boy Restaurant in Wooster was destroyed by a fire on Friday night.

According to the Wooster Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to a commercial fire at 2558 Cleveland Road at 11:24 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, Wooster Fire crews made an aggressive interior fire attack and were able to contain the fire to the kitchen and attic areas. 

"Due to the amount of fire, the building is likely a total loss." said the Wooster Fire Department in a Facebook post.

At this time, the fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal's FEIB and the Wooster Fire Investigation. 

After initial investigation, officials believe that the fire appears to be accidental.

The Wooster Township Fire Department, Orville Fire Department and Central Fire District responded to the fire.
