Light Northern Ohio Blue to show support for law enforcement during Police Week

The campaign hopes to encourage the community to light up their homes next week to show support for law enforcement

There’s a new initiative to show support for law enforcement during Police Week, May 12-20, 2018.

The campaign, led by Cleveland Division of Police, FBI Cleveland Division, FBI Citizens Academy Foundation of Cleveland and the Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial Society, hopes to encourage the community to light up their homes with blue light bulbs.

Light bulbs are available at local Lowe’s and Home Depot stores.

Only in Clev, www.onlyinclev.com, t-shirt shop on Lorain in Kamm’s Corners is also selling $12 t-shirts that come with a blue light bulb, as well as Light Northern Ohio Blue candles.

They’re hoping the community shares their blue on social media using the #LightNorthernOHblue

There are activities planned all week for Police Week. The memorial parade kicks off at 10:30am on Friday the 18th from Lakeside and E. 12th Street and goes west on Lakeside to the Police Memorial where a service will be held.
