According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash took place at the intersection of Stewart Road and State Route (SR) 430 on Monday, December 11.

At approximately 8:31 a.m., a Kia driven by 30-year-old Bryant Burgess along with his passenger, 30-year-old Zachary Evans, was traveling east on SR 430.

Burgess failed to yield when turning north onto Stewart Road causing a Ford vehicle, driven by 51-year-old Antonio Barrett along with his front seat passenger, 47-year-old John Harvey, to strike the Kia.

The Kia was forced off the road and slammed into a utility pole.

Burgess, Evans and Barrett were all transported to the Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Evans died at the hospital shortly after arriving.

The incident remains under investigation.
