Ohio State Highway Patrol officials say the crash happened on Saturday, Nov. 18, at around 2:03 a.m. when a Dodge Ram 1500 drove off the right side of State Route 514 before striking a ditch.

The truck then became engulfed in flames within the intersection of State Route 514 and State Route 754.

The driver, who has been identified as 18-year-old Aaron Casey of Shreve, and the passenger, 18-year-old Kody Adams of Wooster, both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say that neither of the teens was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and that it appears alcohol and or drugs contributed to the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on the scene by West Holmes Fire and EMS, Clinton Township Fire and EMS, Bully Dawgs Towing, and the Holmes County Coroner.
