At approximately 10:21 a.m. on Wednesday, the semi truck failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection of U.S. Route 42 and State Route 302, causing a collision with a Toyota Camry.

The semi truck, driven by 37-year-old Abdikadir Abshir Shire of St. Paul, Minnesota, was traveling southbound on State Route 302 at the time of the crash. The driver of the Toyota, 40-year-old John Thomas Keener of Ashland, was traveling north/eastbound on US 42.
