SHELBY, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a 61-year-old woman is dead following a hit-and-run crash early Tuesday morning in Shelby.
According to officials, Barbara Warner was walking along the edge of Mickey Road when she was hit by an unknown vehicle near Martin Drive North around 6:30 a.m. The vehicle in question did not stop, and Warner later died from her injuries at OhioHealth Shelby Hospital.
Authorities have not offered information regarding possible suspects or what kind of car they may have been driving. State troopers are investigating the incident.
