"It is fortunate that the injuries sustained by the Ohio Turnpike worker and the driver and passenger in the SUV – who were transported to a local medical facility for evaluation and treatment – are not life threatening," the Turnpike wrote on social media.

The Turnpike truck as well as a flashing arrow sign both suffered damage in the incident. Authorities are using the crash to remind people that "motorists are required by law to MOVE OVER and SLOW DOWN."

"Everyone needs to drive safely in-and-around work zones by: (1) Establishing a safe following distance; (2) Following the work zone speed limit; (3) Avoiding distractions; (4) Paying attention to signs; and (5) Being prepared to slow down or stop," the post read.

The accident occurred around 8 a.m. this morning. Traffic is currently moving smoothly on the highway, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
