Nothing says "fall" like picking your own apples!

Move over summer, fall is back!

Patterson's Fruit Farm announced Friday that apple picking is officially returning to the Chesterland location, with Zestar and Silken Apples being available for picking beginning Saturday, August 28.

Those interested in picking apples like Ginger Gold and HoneyCrisp will have to wait one more week until September 4, and this will take place at Patterson's Mulberry Road farm.

Apple picking runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekends and Patterson's says that due to early frosts this year, quantities are limited. Apple pickers are encouraged to check the farm's website before visiting and should know that best picking will most likely take place in late September to early October, according to Patterson officials.

Patterson's Fruit Farm will also offer "bag your own" apples at the picking area. More fall festivities, including wagon rides and seasonal food options, are set to be announced soon.

Happy fall, Northeast Ohio!

Opening Day for Pick Your Own Apples! We will be picking Silken and Zestar at our Caves Toad Market/Orchard. Stop in...
