The Erie County Sheriff's Office says State Route 4 is closed between Route 113 and Smith Road after multiple train cars caught fire.
Fire crews are currently on scene at the Norfolk Southern yard in Bellevue. The area is being staged because some of the cars contain ethanol.
Witnesses described the flames as more than 100 feet tall. The fire has almost been extinguished.
There are no reports of injuries at this time, according to authorities.
