AKRON, Ohio — As wintry weather makes its way through Northeast Ohio, some communities have activated snow parking bans. This means vehicles are not permitted to park on any street during the restricted hours. Those in violation may be towed.
"Motor vehicles shall not be parked on main streets or residential streets during parking bans," Akron officials said in a press release. "Any vehicle parked in violation of this prohibition shall be removed (towed) by the city and the owner or operator shall be subject to the penalties, fees and costs established for a parking infraction per Akron city code."
