CLEVELAND — Much of Northeast Ohio is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch or Warning through this evening as wicked weather makes it way eastward.
High winds caused more than 80,000 power outages in FirstEnergy's service areas. Power restoration estimates aren't yet available for many communities as of 7 a.m. Thursday (unless otherwise noted below). Here is a glimpse at the current number of outages here in Northeast Ohio as of 7 a.m. Thursday:
- Cuyahoga County - 7,667 outages (power restoration estimated for 1 p.m. Friday)
- Erie County - 8,905 outages
- Summit County - 5,086 outages
- Lorain County - 2,817 outages
- Stark County - 1,087 outages
- Richland County - 982 outages
- Ashland County - 847 outages
- Lake County - 554 outages (power restoration estimated for 1 p.m. Friday)
- Geauga County - 508 outages (power restoration estimated for 1 p.m. Friday)
- Portage County - 278 outages
- Ashtabula County - 172 outages (power restoration estimated for 1 p.m. Friday)
