U.S. Vice President Mike Pence announces the Trump Administration's plan to create the U.S. Space Force by 2020 during a speech at the Pentagon August 9, 2018 in Arlington, Virginia.

Vice President Mike Pence will be journeying to Northeast Ohio next week in an attempt to boost Republican hopes for the midterm elections.

Pence will be in Mansfield Wednesday morning to campaign on behalf of Ohio Attorney General and GOP gubernatorial nominee Mike DeWine and U.S. Rep. Troy Balderson. The "get-out-the-vote" rally will "remind voters how important it is to elect Republicans on November 6th."

Both DeWine and Balderson are currently locked in tight races with their opponents: Richard Cordray and Danny O'Connor, respectively. Political forecasting website fivethirtyeight currently lists the governor's race as a "toss-up," while Balderson only leads O'Connor by roughly two points in the 12th Congressional district.

The rally is scheduled to begin on Halloween morning at 11:30 in the Rob Ridenour Hanger of the Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport.
