WAYNE COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — A 17-year-old boy from Holmesville has died following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Wayne County.
Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Graber Road in Franklin Township at around 2:22 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
According to OSHP officials, a white 2005 Suzuki GSXR600 motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Graber Road when it veered off the right side of the roadway. The motorcycle then struck an embankment before colliding with pine trees.
The driver, identified as Nathan Coblentz, was taken to Wooster Hospital by EMS, where he was later pronounced dead about an hour after the crash.
Officials say that Coblentz was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. In addition, OSHP noted that neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be factors contributing to the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by South Central Fire and EMS, TNT Towing and the Wayne County Sheriff's Department.
At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
