OHIO, USA — On Thursday, Gov. Mike DeWine announced that there are nine counties in Ohio that are at Level 3 (red) on the Ohio Health Advisory System as the state continues to battle COVID-19.
Among those counties on the list this week are Ashland and Stark County in Northeast Ohio.
According to Ohio's Public Advisory System, Level 3 indicates a "very high exposure and spread" of the coronavirus in that community.
However, news was not all bad on Thursday. Portage County has been decreased to a Level 2 (orange) after a decreased in cases.
The decrease in ranking comes after officials at Kent State University asked students to avoid gatherings and parties for two weeks.
