4 dead after multiple-vehicle crash in Southwest Ohio

According to OSHP, the crash happened at 8:32 a.m. in the southbound lanes on Interstate 75, near milepost 75 in Franklin Township.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 that left four people dead Saturday morning.  

According to OSHP, the crash happened at 8:32 a.m. in the southbound lanes on I-75, near milepost 75 in Franklin Township.  

A Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer combination was traveling north on I-75 when it went off the left side of the road, traveling through the cable median barrier and ditch. 

The tractor-trailer continued into the southbound lanes, striking a GMC Terrain, driven by 32-year-old Lauren Hahn of Westland, Michigan and a Ford F-150 driven by 32-year-old Jeremy Boehne of Farmington, Michigan. 

Hahn and her passenger, 63-year-old Kimberly Siegrist, both died at the scene, according to OSHP. Boehne also was pronounced dead at the scene.

Boehne's passenger, 33-year-old Karen Boehne, was taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries and then transported by air to Miami Valley Hospital where she later died.

The driver of the Freightliner had minor injuries from the crash.

This incident remains under investigation.
