OHIO, USA — During Tuesday afternoon's Coronavirus briefing, Lt. Governor Jon Husted gave an update on the recovery of Ohio's economy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
While discussing some of the businesses making major contributions in the Buckeye State, Husted announced that Ford Motor Company will be making a large donation to the state.
In addition to employing 6,000 Ohioans during the ongoing pandemic, Ford has announced that they will distribute 2-million medical grade face masks to the state in the coming weeks and months.
According to Lt. Governor Husted, the company is currently manufacturing 2.5 million masks a week for their employees, as well as citizens in at-risk communities.
"This is part of their effort to provide 100 million medical grade face masks through 2021," said Husted, "we very much appreciate their donation to Ohio, and all the people that they employ here, how they're helping us get through the virus, grow jobs, and keep people safe."
