Northwest Ohio police: Missing 6-month-old boy found safe

The boy was located Tuesday after being taken by his mother. She was arrested on child endangerment charges.

Nina Roberts of Defiance is in custody and charged with child endangering after taking her 6-month-old son without permission.

PERRYSBURG, Ohio — Perrysburg Township Police Department confirmed a 6-month-old boy was found safely Tuesday after being reported missing.

The boy was taken by his mother, Nina Roberts, who is not allowed to have the child, prompting police to issue a missing endangered alert.

Toledo police found Roberts, 39, of Defiance, and the boy in the 2800 block of Chase on Tuesday evening. She was handed over to Perrysburg authorities on felony warrants.

The boy is safe and was placed in custody of the Child Services Board.

Roberts was booked into the Wood County jail on charges of child endangerment.
